The beginning of a new year brings an energy all if it’s own that is powerful when utilised well but which can also sweep us away. What I’m learning is that there is more than just one time a year when that energy is present.
I felt it again in Spring when it was time to come out of the dark, and now again in September with a new school year starting.
It reminds me that this energy can be overwhelming when not used with focus and mindfulness. Especially when we fall into the comparison trap and feel like we have to keep up and not miss anything.
So I resolve to embrace the JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out) this season, use the energy to set meaningful and supportive intentions, relish the last days of summer and avoid heading mindlessly to the Christmas mania.
I wish you a mindful transition too.
